The St. Augustine Beach Pier Reopens in time for warmer weather.

The St. Augustine Beach Pier is now open for fishermen, sightseers, and any visitor since being closed since last August when the U.S. Army Corps discovered damage to the pier structure.  After months of hard work on shoreline restoration efforts, the pier is now open. Only the last 100 feet of the St. Augustine Beach Pier remain closed until further notice.

Access to the pier is usually 24 hours a day. Pier entry fees or an annual pass are required during the hours that the Gift Shop is open.  The Gift Shop is open from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. each day.  All annual fishing and sightseeing passes sold before the pier’s closure have been extended seven months past their original expiration dates. Current fees are:

  • General Public – $2.00
  • Fishing (By the day):
    • St. Johns County Residents – $4.00
    • Non-Residents – $6.00
    • Military or handicapped – $2.00
  • Children under 6 years old and SJC residents over 60 years old – Freed
  • 12 month passes:
    • St. Johns County Residents – $40.00
    • Non-residents – $60.00
    • Military or handicapped – $20.00

The “Taste of the Beach” to be held at the St. Augustine Beach Pier on Saturday, September 23rd

The 12th annual “Taste of the Beach”, presented by the St. Augustine Beach Civic Association, returns to the St. Augustine Beach Pier and Pier Park on Saturday, September 23rd from 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.  13 local restaurants will be competing in the categories of Best Appetizer, Best Entree, Best Dessert, Judges Choice, People’s Choice and Best Decorated Booth.  There will be plenty of food and beverages available by purchasing tickets at a cost of $1.00 each.  To learn more about the event click HERE. Taste of the Beach returns this weekend to the St. Augustine Beach Pier!

Come on out to the St. Augustine Beach Pier this Sunday, November 12th, from noon til 5:00 p.m. for the annual Taste of the Beach benefiting the Betty Griffin Center.  This fun event is the battle for bragging rights for local restaurants to compete in the categories of Best Appetizer, Entree, Dessert and overall Peoples Choice award.  There will also be lots of entertainment and available beverages including Beer, Wine and Soft Drinks.  Parking is available at the St. Augustine Beach City Hall and Ron Parker Park, with free round trip shuttle service.

Come out to the St. Augustine Beach Pier Pavilion on Sunday, October 18th and enjoy some fun in the sunshine, delicious food and great entertainment for the annual Taste of the Beach presented by the St. Augustine Beach Civic Association.  Over 14 local restaurants will be available to serve up their specialties with available beer and wine for purchase.  All proceeds go to benefit the Betty Griffin House.  The event is free to the public and runs from 12:00 – 5:00 p.m.
