The National Night Out returns to the St. Augustine Beach Pier on Tuesday, August 7th from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. This fun, free family event is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods a safer, better place to live. There will be participation and demonstrations from various local law enforcement agencies, food, beverages, entertainment and much, much more. So come on out and enjoy the evening at the Pier located at 350 A1A Beach Blvd., in St. Augustine Beach.
The 1st annual Pups & Sups dog surfing contest comes to St. Augustine Beach on Saturday, July 21st at the Guy Harvey Outpost Resort from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. This fun competitive event benefits the K-9 for Warriors and is open to all friendly dogs and their owners. The 16th season of Music By The Sea, held by The St. Augustine Beach Civic Association begins on Wednesday, May 23rd at The St. Augustine Beach Pier Park. This free event is held each Wednesday starting at 6:00 p.m. and runs through the month of September with weekly concerts and available food and beverages for purchase.
After being cancelled last week due to inclement weather, The Music By The Sea event will kick-off this week with the sounds of 80’s cover band Slang, and food sponsored and provided by Scooby Q BBQ. The event will also use this Wednesday as an opportunity to support local artist and volunteer Paul Slava who has a new liver but still faces more challenges that include large medical bills. Money collected through beverage purchases will go to assist Paul with his expenses.

The St. Augustine Beach sand renourishment project taking place is scheduled to be completed by the end of June, just in time for the 4th of July holiday. Work has been completed on the beach from Pope Road to the St. Augustine Beach Pier. The project will continue to inch closer towards 9th street where the work will then be completed. It may not be long for residents and visitors to have to pay for parking at the St. Augustine Beach Pier and Pier Park. City Commissioners have voted unanimously and are in the final planning stages as to how paid parking will take place and when it will start. The City of St. Augustine Beach is looking for volunteers for the annual Beach Blast Off 2018, being held at the St. Augustine Beach Pier on Sunday, December 31st. Come on out to the St. Augustine Beach Pier this Sunday, November 12th, from noon til 5:00 p.m. for the annual Taste of the Beach benefiting the Betty Griffin Center. This fun event is the battle for bragging rights for local restaurants to compete in the categories of Best Appetizer, Entree, Dessert and overall Peoples Choice award. There will also be lots of entertainment and available beverages including Beer, Wine and Soft Drinks. Parking is available at the St. Augustine Beach City Hall and Ron Parker Park, with free round trip shuttle service.
The St. Johns County Ocean Pier, which has been built and rebuilt over the years, is now in danger of disappearing. The county has pumped money into the pier to keep it open to the public, but it’s not clear how long that will continue…. Read More
