The City of St. Augustine Beach is partnering with multiple Law Enforcement Agencies, The Oasis Deck and Restaurant, Sunset Grille, the St. Augustine Beach Civic Association, multiple non-profit Agencies and the National Association of Town Watch to present the 2014 National Night Out at the Beach. There will be complimentary food, drink, exhibitors, child safety education information, DNA kits, emergency vehicles, law enforcement personnel, bike giveaways and more.

National Night Out, a yearlong community building campaign, is designed to: (1) heighten crime prevention awareness, (2) generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs, (3) strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships, and (4) send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back. Along with the traditional outside lights and front porch vigils, most cities and towns celebrate National Night Out with a variety of special citywide and neighborhood events such as block parties, cookouts, parades, festivals, visits from local officials and law enforcement, safety fairs, and youth events.

For more information contact Michael Cunningham at the City of St. Augustine Beach City Hall, mcunningham@cityofsab.org or Officer Ed Martinez at martineze@sabpd.org.”

Come on out and support your local law enforcement community for this wonderful community event.  There is no charge for the event and there is plenty of parking at the St. Augustine Beach Pier parking lot.  We would also like to thank our sponsors the Oasis Restaurant, Sunset Grille and the St. Augustine Beach Civic Association for their support.
