Relay for Life is holding a Beach Out Cancer event on Saturday, April 23rd, at 9:00 a.m. at the St. Augustine Beach Pier located at 350 A1A Beach Blvd. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. The cost to participate is a donation of five can goods “and” $5 or $10. Come join over 60 vendors each Wednesday morning at the St. Johns County Pier Park (St. Augustine Beach Pier ) from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. The weekly event, sponsored by the St. Augustine Beach Civic Association, offers an a variety of produce, prepared foods, local seafood, arts & crafts, jewelry and fair trade goods with an emphasis on home grown, hand picked and hand crafted items that are unique.

Don’t forget to make your plans for the Beach Blast Off 2016 at the St. Augustine Beach Pier and Pier Park on Thursday, January 31st from 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. to ring in the New Year. This awesome family friendly event will feature fun events for the kids including: Kids Zone area, face painting, human hamster balls, mechanical bull rides, balloon twisting and a rock climbing wall. Not to worry, there are fun events for the grown-ups too that include: entertainment by Beach 105.5 FM, live music by Old Enough-2 Know Better (6:30 – 7:30 p.m.), and the awesome 80’s throwback glam-band Papercutt (7:30 – 8:30 p.m.) performing on the main stage. All of this is capped off by an amazing ocean-front fireworks display beginning at 10:00 p.m.
There will also be great food and drinks available by over 30 vendors, and adult beverages including Champaign, beer and wine. The City of St. Augustine Beach is in need of volunteers for the 2016 Beach Blast Off event being held at the St. Johns County/St. Augustine Beach Pier and Pier Park on New Years Eve. This is a great time to join in the community fun of helping the City to host this exciting event to ring in the new year. There are a wide variety of volunteer opportunities and times that are available, and the City will need about 150 people to help host this free event that has been voted the best family New Years event in Florida. It’s that time of year again when the St. Augustine Beach Civic Association presents the annual Taste of the Beach being held at the St. Augustine Beach/St. Johns County Pier Park and Pavilion area. This years event has been moved to the Fall and is being held this Sunday, October 18th, from 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Come out and enjoy over 15 restaurants serving food and competing in taste categories for appetizers, entree’s, desserts, judges choice and peoples choice. In addition to the great food that’s available for purchase, Beaver Toyota – Scion of St. Augustine, is this years music sponsor and will be lining up some great entertainment for all ages to enjoy.
And there’s no need to worry about parking for the event as there will be a free shuttle service running from 11:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. from the St. Augustine Beach City Hall, located at the corner of State Road A1A and 16th Street.
The Taste of the Beach event, located at 350 A1A Beach Blvd. in St. Augustine Beach, is free to attend with food available for purchase from any of the 15 participating restaurants, with proceeds going to benefit the Betty Griffin House. Come on out and enjoy a great Fall day in the best beach town in Florida.
This Tuesday, October 6th, the annual National Night Out will be held at the St. Augustine Beach Pier and Pier Pavilion from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. The National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods a safer, better place to live.
The event is free to the public and will feature Live music, Free Food, Free Information, Free Giveaways, a Bounce House, a Fire Truck, Crime Scene Van, the Army National Guard, Law Enforcement Displays, the SJSO K-9s, the SJSO Helicopter, and much more. This Holiday Season, the City of St. Augustine Beach Civic Association will be holding their annual Surf Illumination on Friday, November 21st at the St. Augustine Beach Pier and Pier Park. This family-fun event features the annual Holiday tree lighting, local arts and crafts, food and beverage vendors, activities for kids and a visit from the big man himself, Santa!
The St. Augustine Beach Surf Illumination event runs from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. So come on out to the Pier, located at 350 A1A Beach Blvd., to have some fun and kick off the Holiday’s.
On Tuesday, October 7th, the National Night Out returns to the St. Augustine Beach Pier for a fun and community building event. This annual event is being held by the City of St. Augustine Police Department, along with other law enforcement agencies, sponsors and supporters all dedicated to the development and promotion of various crime prevention programs including neighborhood watch groups, law enforcement agencies, state and regional crime prevention associations, businesses, civic groups, and individuals, devoted to safer communities. The event will feature complimentary food, drink, exhibitors, child safety education information, DNA kits, emergency vehicles, law enforcement personnel, bike giveaways and much more. AUGUSTINE BEACH, FL. — Coming off of last year’s award winning National Night Out Event, the St. Augustine Beach Chief of Police, Robert Hardwick, announced the 2014 St. Johns County National Night Out will be Tuesday, October 7, 2014 from 6-8pm. The event takes place at St Augustine Beach Pier Park, 350 A1A Beach Blvd., St. Augustine Beach, FL 32080.
The City of St. Augustine Beach is partnering with multiple Law Enforcement Agencies, The Oasis Deck and Restaurant, Sunset Grille, the St. Augustine Beach Civic Association, multiple non-profit Agencies and the National Association of Town Watch to present the 2014 National Night Out at the Beach. There will be complimentary food, drink, exhibitors, child safety education information, DNA kits, emergency vehicles, law enforcement personnel, bike giveaways and more.
National Night Out, a yearlong community building campaign, is designed to: (1) heighten crime prevention awareness, (2) generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs, (3) strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships, and (4) send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back. Along with the traditional outside lights and front porch vigils, most cities and towns celebrate National Night Out with a variety of special citywide and neighborhood events such as block parties, cookouts, parades, festivals, visits from local officials and law enforcement, safety fairs, and youth events.
